Facilities Electrical/ Power Engineer

-Work with in the Facilities Engineering group
-Project manager for capital/expense projects
-Respond to and support production departments with changes that require new utilities, especially electric distribution
-Work with Facilities Maintenance on the electrical distribution system from the APCO mainsubstation down to the reciptical panel to insure safety and reliability
-Plan projects to improve energy efficiency and control of the electric power system at HMA
-Support non electric projects as required
-Work with outside engineering firms for new projects

Daily Tasks Performed:
-Dependent on what is required for the above responsibilities, maybe 50-50 split between office time spent on the floor with Fac. Equipment

Minimum Job Relevant Knowledge
-Good background in heavy industrial electrical distribution
-Competent knowledge of electrical power such as 3 phase and 1 phase power distribution, fault current, power flow, power factor correction, etc.
-Project management experience

Minimum Job Relevant Experience
-2 years in industrial application or electrical utility experience

Degree/Certification Required
-BSEE or 2 year degree with strong work experience

Required Skills
-Stong communication capability and people skills for working with many different customers
-Understanding of Electrical distribution and related equipment

Desired Skills and Abilities
-PLC controls
