Position Description:
Chevron Products Company (GDREF) is accepting applications for two (2) Rotating Equipment Reliability BIN Leaders located in Richmond, California; El Segundo, California; Pascagoula, Mississippi; and/or Pembroke, Wales through October 20, 2006.
The Rotating Equipment Reliability BIN Leader is responsible for providing leadership for the rotating equipment BIN (Business Improvement Network). Responsibilities include leading efforts to improve the Global Refining Rotating equipment assets through networking, Incident Investigation sharing lessons learned, leading Best Practice development/implementation, standardization efforts and leading technology applications. Works with other Refinery Teams to optimize preventive and predictive rotating equipment maintenance processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
Leadership – Works across the Global Refining System to lead the Large Refinery Rotating Equipment Reliability BIN Team (ELS, RI, PA, Pembroke, also small refineries HI, Burnaby, Salt Lake) towards leveraging the expertise to enhance the Global Refining reliability improvement efforts. This is accomplished by fostering the BIN Network functionality e.g. information sharing, lessons learned, Incident Investigation, Best Practice development/implementation, standardization and leading technology applications (May require BIP to plan and execute). Make sure that key stakeholders and customers are kept apprised of these activities and the path forward is in alignment with business direction. Accountable for the BIN Business Plan deliverables.
Communication – Facilitates communication of BIN Team making sure that key stakeholders and customers are kept apprised of these activities and the proposed path forward is in alignment with business direction.
SME Networking – BIN Leader may be the SME however the BIN Lead function should be the Network director for leveraging the SME capabilities within Global Refining. The BIN Leader should be abreast of Global Refining activities, business needs for SME support and other related activities and is the coordinator that helps direct the support to the business need.

Analytical / Problem-Solving Skills - Utilizes Reliability proceceses and analytical tools. Must possess demonstrated ability to monitor and analyze rotating equipment health then proactively utilize data to improve/maintain rotating equipment performance. (May also coordinate or lead this effort)
Communication - Communicates in a articulate manner both orally and in writing. Promotes communications in all directions, within work groups and between work groups. Experience making presentations to technical and leadership teams.
Analytical/Computer Skills - Extensive experience in utilizing various computer & equipment management systems and tools. Includes a working knowledge of Passport, Meridium, Excel, Word, etc.
Initiative/ Self-Starter – Seeks out areas to further his/her learnings or to improve work processes or business results. Takes the initiative to follow-through and complete tasks when provided with boundary conditions and seeks clarification when the task requirements are unclear.
