Position Description:

Chevron Oronite Company LLC is accepting online applications for the position of Global Pricing Analyst (0609-50163843) located in San Ramon, California. Qualifications:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Primary responsibilities include oversees and manages Global Pricing Activities with defined pricing processes and tools to enhance Oronite’s profitability.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Monitors external factors that affect customer pricing including raw material trends, competitive price initiatives, customer tender results in order to provide insight to Oronite’s market pricing
- Oversees and manages Global Pricing Conformance with defined pricing processes and tools
- Identifies opportunities for price adjustments
- Monitors the Global and Regional Account Pricing and work with Regional Pricing Committee to insure pricing consistency and conformance
- Champions the Global Pricing Excellence Team activities and provide/receive inputs to/from the Regional Pricing Committees
- Monitors and track the Global Account and Regional Account Pricing Activities
- Coordinates with the various functional groups to obtain information for the pricing processes and tools
- Manages the customer/product profitability model through the Global Tool
- Communicates the analytical results of the Global Tool to key stakeholders
- Manages the continuous improvement of the Global Pricing Tools and Processes
- Manages/Updates the Global Sales Manual and widely communicates to the key stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree or higher preferred in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
- In lieu of academic preparation, minimum of 8 to 10 years work experience required.
- Experience in price negotiations from either the sales or purchasing perspective a plus.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills: Ability to understand and communicate the financial impact of price proposals containing a complex mixture of products and services. Demonstrated capability as an independent and creative problem solver.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a global organization where a variety of cultural backgrounds and primary languages exits. Maintains team's focus on the required deliverables.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of the business models, profits and cost drivers and financial reports. Experience in the Lubricant, Fuels or Additive Business Segments and understanding of their market dynamics.
- Planning and Organizing: Able to develop realistic work plans and schedules to achieve desired goals. Anticipates problems and properly uses resources to meet deadlines. Can manage multiple revisions to a data set by maintaining and tracking changes
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Working experience with Access Database, MS Project and Viso is a plus. Able to summarize large amounts of data into meaningful categories using tables, graphs, and charts. Can prepare high quality, accurate presentations suitable for management viewing.
- Oral and Written Communication: Able to discuss and present complex issues in a clear and concise manner that is supported by details and assumptions. Key points are highlighted and the main message and desired outcomes are clearly explained. Experience in developing Business Process or Training Manual is a plus.
