Junior PCB Designer/Drafter

 

 Emcore Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Junior PCB Designer/Drafter.  In this entry level position the ideal candidate will assist engineers in the development, design, and maintenance of complex printed circuit boards (PCB) layout using Mentor Graphics PADS Design Systems.

 Schematic capture and PCB layout for RF and mixed technology designs.Create and maintain schematic and footprint symbol libraries.Generate documents using PADS and MPR software for schematics, fabrications, assembly drawings, Bill of Materials, and ECN/ECO.Research componets and interface with vendors.General understanding of mechanical and electrical drafting.

 

 

Additional Desired Skills:RF experienceFamiliar with Protel, Orcad, Autocad, or SolidworksDocument control processesKnowledge of IPC and RoHS standards a plus

 

 Qualifications

 

Requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience with knowledge of Mentor Graphics PADS Logic and Layout.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
