Electrical Engineer

Opportunity overview:
Work with the Senior Engineers and Engineering staff to develop and release quality cutting-edge high volume consumer products including; computer peripherals, MP3 player accessories, connectivity products, AV products and other company products. Responsibilities include: contribution to product architecture, detail design, technical relationships with customers and company product managers. Maintaining schedules and cost objectives are primary responsibilities.
• Work as a team member or individual contributor to design and develop cutting-edge products
• Work closely with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, product managers, vendors and manufacturing to insure successful project coordination and integration
• Read and interpret part specifications sheets, schematics and software specifications
• Create electronic circuit designs and create innovative and robust solutions to problems.
• Responsible for electrical design, schematic entry, PCB design layout, prototype testing & debug, documentation and engineering release for production.
• Understand EMC design principles and design products for compliance with agency approvals (FCC, CE, UL, USB, PCI, WHQL, etc.)
• Assist with product definition and specifications
• Work with team leaders to maintain project schedules and cost objectives
• Create and maintain status reports
• Coordinate 3rd party development, technical liaison
• Maintain advanced understanding of relevant technology specifications
• Fulfill responsibilities under OHSAS 18001, understand and fully support OHSAS 18001 system.

 

Requirements:

-Bachelors degree in EE/CE or equivalent work experience
-7+ years electrical design in new product development and leadership experience required
-Must have understanding of EMC design principles and design products for compliance with agency approvals (FCC, CE, UL, USB, PCI, WHQL, etc.)
-Must have experience working with consumer electronic products, PC accessories, or wireless is preferred
-Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills
-Previous experience supervising others
-Proven analytical problem-solving ability
