As Director of International Sales you will be responsible for building a world class sales organization, planning and executing sales strategies, and directing staff to accomplish company strategic objectives in all foreign markets. You will develop short and long-range international sales objectives and plans for the attainment of revenue goals. This position is responsible for developing and strengthening strategies for the companies competitive positioning in other territories. The Director of International Sales will promote and sell the company to key accounts and distributors globally in an effort expand the reach to new markets and bolster existing international distribution.
The Role
Reporting to the COO, the Director of International Sales will:
Plan and execute effective sales strategies to meet sales targets. Recommend and accomplish annual profit contribution by preparing sales forecasts; establishing sales objectives; maintaining and managing rapport with key customers; negotiating and obtaining orders.Formulate, recommend and interpret policies and sales strategies in the areas of sales, pricing, product research and related activities.Continual communication with existing customers to generate additional sales.Develop new customers to achieve sales, reach targeted markets and attain financial results.Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.Develop and expand international business focusing on the top ten most active foreign markets like the UK, Germany, Spain, etc..Direct sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.Review market analyses to determine customers needs, price schedules, and discounts rates.Direct channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales, territories, quotas, and goals.Advise dealers and distributors concerning sales and advertising techniques.Represent company at trade association meetings or conferences such as E3 and CES to promote products.Help design and deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion.
Qualifications
· 5+ years in technical or consumer electronic sales with successful key account management.
· Demonstrated record of success in a goal oriented, highly accountable, sales environment.
· Executive level strategy, communication, and presentation skills are required. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, patient, customer oriented, analytical, strategic, mature have a global mindset, and knowledge of foreign protocol and industry.
· Ability to prioritize complex organizational objectives and meet aggressive deadlines; outstanding team leadership, team development and interpersonal communications skills.
· A sales or customer service background with experience in international, desired
· Superb written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required.
· Willingness to perform international travel.
· Detailed understanding of Office Productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
· Master's degree is preferred, Bachelor's degree is required
