Buyer - PVS

Under minimal supervision, responsible for maintaining adequate service parts inventory through forecasting, planning, and purchasing, with a focus on minimizing excess and/or obsolete inventory. 

 

·  Process bill of materials upload and verification for all new PVS products

·  Set up and maintain material masters and vendor information records

·  Create and maintain purchase orders and related activities. (i.e. purchase order submission, tracking, expediting, etc).

·  Maintain adequate parts inventory using daily and monthly reports.

·  Analyze and submit last-time parts buys.

·  Work with external vendors to procure products, parts, and MRO

·  Communicate with factories as required.

·  Develop and maintain accurate methods and reports to analyze material usage and trends.

·  Analyze and provide reports for scrap, excess, and obsolete inventory.

Support SAP Service Management module and Warehouse Management module.

·  Perform physical inventory control tasks as required

·  Product allocation

 

Perform other duties as assigned.

·  Understanding of inventory control; material planning; usage analysis; and forecasting

·  Excellent communications; problem solving; interpersonal skills

· Strong computer literacy. Experience using Microsoft applications including: MS Word, and Outlook, and comprehensive knowledge of MS Excel.

·  SAP knowledge and experience preferred with strong analytical skills.

·  3 to 5 years job related experience in material planning and purchasing
