Clinical Educator - CVOPS/Cath Lab/IU

Overview : Clinical Educator for Cath Lab, Cardiovascular Out Patient Services and Interventional Unit. Full time, primarily day position. Hours are variable, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities :

Facilitate the education of employees to include; staff orientation, assessment of competence, assessment of continuing education needs, preceptor support, and development of programs to assist in professional growth.

Qualifications :

3-5 years in Cardiovascular clinical areas with a clinical focus on cardiovascular care. BSN preferred. Basic EKG, ACLS and CPR Certification and Experience Required. Formal and informal knowledge of AV equipment.
This position requires a person with excellent communication skills and recent experience in developing, teaching, and coordinating educational programs for adult learners.

* Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of recent hospital experience in specialty area and a working knowledge of ancillary and support departments responsibilities.
* This position requires strong organizational, communication, group interaction and educational skills. Experience with process improvement preferred.
