Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Career Services, this position will assist in the operation of the career services office to provide job and career counseling services to undergraduates, graduates and alumni. Under general supervision, plans, conducts and supervises assignments. Reviews progress and evaluates results. Plans and assigns personnel for given projects or tasks. Interprets and applies organization policy. Reviews progress with management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Works in close communication with the Career Services Advisors, Associate Directors, Liaison and Director of Career Services in order to provide them with an appropriate number of job leads. 2. Develops long term working relationships with businesses on a regional basis. 3. Performs specific job development activities for all DeVry programs both entry level and experienced job leads. 4. Ensures accurate entry of job leads into the Interfase system. 5. Communicates and coordinates all jobs leads with staff to facilitate placement and career advising activities. 6. Follows up and maintains all job leads. 7. Promotes and markets career fairs and other University activities to businesses as well as participates in inter-campus relations and outreach as assigned by the Director 8. Participates in Advisory Boards, student/alumni activities, career fairs and graduation and other School wide committees deemed appropriate by their supervisor. 9. Performs related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills • Bachelor’s degree required. Masters degree a strong plus. • Minimum of two years corporate outreach, corporate relations, and/or marketing experience required. Preferably from an educational institution.

• Ability to market DeVry University student populations to business and industry.


Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

· Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in a related field.

· A minimum of two years career advising experience.

· A minimum of one year marketing and/or corporate outreach experience.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Knowledge of appropriate computer and database management tools.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· This position is a full-time position requiring some local travel
