Sr. Bid Coordinator

Responsibilities: Staples Business Advantage is currently seeking Senior Bid Coordinator to build the West Coast team working out of the La Palma office. In this position this person will: Work with minimal supervision while negotiating bids and quotes on customer’s contracts. Assists management on margin initiative projects. Also assists in the daily implementation and maintenance of all SBA contract and sales databases. Research and responds to sales inquiries from Customer Service and management on products and pricing requests. Negotiate bids and quotes on contracts, keeping in mind the margin of the accounts and what is best for our customer. Monitor and maintain daily, weekly, monthly margin reports as they pertain to contracts. Assists management on various projects such as cost analysis to determine pricing parameters to use to obtain new business. Assists in the training and coaching of new associates. Identify, research, and respond to issues surrounding the pricing of a customer’s contract. Other duties as requested by management. Bachelor's degree and knowledge of Excel and Access required Detailed oriented, good communication and organizational skills Ability to work in fast-paced environment Office product knowledge preferred Time management Product vendor training
