Sales Analyst

Sunrise Greetings, subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, is seeking a Sales Analyst to help the sales force meet its goals by providing sales analysis, recommendations and tools.  This includes:Analyzing sales data for each territory to identify sales trends, opportunities, and target accounts.  Make recommendations for territory changes/maintenance to maximize efficiencies. Identify service needs for key accounts by scrutinizing past sales and reviewing order frequency and size.  Prepare quarterly performance reports for each region by pulling information from several IT reports.  Developing the sales potential formula for each sales territory in the U.S. and Canada based on multiple data sources.Reviewing sales results, providing analysis and recommendations:  review current sales, lost business and new business on a monthly basis; calculate and distribute new business plans based on company goals and other key factors.  Provide support in the forms of analysis, recommendations, data comparisons, tools, spreadsheets, and presentations to strategic sellers both in the field and at headquarters.  Support the preparation of sales meetings with key chains.Preparing ad-hoc reports and support special projects.

This position is located at Sunrise headquarters in Bloomington, Indiana, and reports directly to the Vice President of Sales. It requires frequent interaction with all levels of the company and partners closely with other departments and sales team members to be successful. This position requires the ability to go beyond the data and make recommendations that will impact the company’s ability to achieve it’s plans for profitable revenue growth.

Skills and experience required:B.A. or B.S. degree in business, mathematics, information technology or statistics.Proficiency with spreadsheets (preferably Excel) and databases (preferably Access). Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively communicate recommendations, output and methodology.Strong critical thinking skills, preferably including numerical analysis and translating analysis into recommendations.Detail oriented, flexible and able to manage quickly shifting priorities.Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to work independently based on initial direction; collaborates well with others.A positive, can-do approach to business.Knowledge of retail environment helpful.
