SBU Sales Coordinator
ACCO Brands Corporation, one of the world"&tm;s largest suppliers of branded office products, with annual revenues of nearly $2 billion, is looking for Channel Coordinator to join our team. In this role, the individual supports the channel initiatives in Wholesale/Independent, Superstore, Mass Market and New Distribution and Vertical Market Channels. The day to day activities are determined by the requirements of key channels/customers and are directed by the channel managers primarily responsible for those channels. The contributions of this individual will be essential in delivering the overall sales and profit expectations of the business and providing critical coordination of the interrelated go-to-market activities.
Deliver inputs to coordinated account based processes including purchase planning, planogram and printed catalog reviews, promotional implementation, category budgets and forecasts for the accounts.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Support all activities related to the execution of Retail and Commercial merchandising, marketing and promotional initiatives including, but not limited to:
-New product launches
-Channel specific marketing events
-Customer specific catalog reviews
-Off-shelf/channel specific promotional initiatives
-Customer Communication where necessary and applicable.
This position needs a Creative, assertive individual who works well independently, embraces challenges and is driven to grow business profitably.
Manage and maintain SBU financial metrics and deliverables associated with promotional activities, new product launches along with required monthly sales reporting. Activities include:
- Coordinating monthly sales forecast by customer
- Creating customer/channel specific P&L"&tm;s for new product launches, off-shelf promotional events, POG change-outs and channel specific marketing events
- Managing POS output, providing detailed analysis and reporting
- Compiling monthly and quarterly SBU and customer specific sales reports
Analytic ability and critical thinking skills are used for these responsibilities.
Create, manage and maintain the Visual Communication product data base and sku attributes for:
- Customer and channel pricing
- Product images, attributes and descriptions, templates and articles
- SBU Web-site content
- Competitive product analysis/placement at individual customers
Strong communication and multi-tasking capabilities augment this position.
Assist in Development of Account Specific Presentations as well as Catalog Reviews using Communication, coordination and collaboration skills.
Proofing and Coordination of Account Specific collateral materials in Cooperation with Creative Services, Consumer Development and Central Marketing; using Communication, coordination and collaboration skills to accomplish this.
Participate in regularly scheduled conference calls with accounts to improve responsiveness to customers as well as customer teams; using Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Marketing
- Assist in the creation of marketing and promotional materials with consumer marketing team
- Write, edit or proof reading of catalog and promotional copy
Sales
- Participate in presentations of new products and concepts working in tangent with account management and product management teams
- Continued and effective interface and communication with ACCO Brands Shared Selling organization
Analysis
- Participate in monthly sales forecast and account financial metrics by channel within the account
- Analysis of historical sales trends
- Development new initiatives to drive purchases
- Provide analysis and recommendations for promotional and POG events for each account
Coordination
- Work closely with channel management, consumer marketing, product management and central sales team to stay informed on product specific activities and make appropriate recommendations regarding:
- Product needs
- Product positioning
- Promotional requirements

BS or BA degree in Business Management/Marketing preferred
Experience:
- Sales experience preferred
- 2+ years developing project management acumen and skill set.
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills.
Some negotiation skills necessary.

- Windows Operating System knowledge required
- Oracle Operating System knowledge, preferred, not required
Travel: Up to 10-15% required
Lifting: Minimal Lifting Required, Setting up displays, samples and providing presentations does require minimal lifting.
