NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – Wal-Mart/Mass Retail

Our client has specialized in home décor and home furnishings products for the past 60 years.  We are looking for an individual with outstanding relationship building skills and an interest in representing a product that is functional yet has a fashion and trend element to it.  Individuals with decorative accessories, home décor, giftware, housewares, collectibles, home furnishings, home textiles or similar industry background are most desired.  The candidate of choice will also have a category management mindset and will enjoy working with and presenting the numbers behind the sales proposals.

 

Sales professionals that currently call on or have recent experience calling on Wal-Mart Headquarters in Bentonville, AR should read on.  Our client has partnered with us to identify an outstanding National Account Manager to work with Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club.  You may also have some additional responsibility calling on K-Mart as well, but your initial emphasis will be with Wal-Mart and Sam’s.  You will report to a President and have the support of a Category Manager, POS Analyst, Marketing and Channel team at headquarters in Wisconsin. Your office could be located in Bentonville, Metro Chicago or SE Wisconsin.

 

Our client is extremely marketing focused and expert in new product development.  You will always have new and exciting products to present to your clients.  They also incorporate best practices in there business model.

 

 

SOME of the SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

 

-Achieve the sales plan goals on a quarterly and annual basis

-Manage buyer relationships

-Work with Marketing on new product development and new product introductions

-Coordinate, write and deliver effective presentations using category management practices and fact-based selling

-Work with all cross-functional team members

-Develop and execute a 12-month promotional calendar

-Manage all Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club Sales

-Travel to industry shows and meet at headquarters when appropriate

-Have necessary computer expertise: Retail-Link, Excel, PowerPoint and WORD

-Work with Analysts to forecast sales/ships by SKU by month

 

REQUIRED:

 

-Bachelors Degree a MUST, Masters Degree a plus

-Record of success with Wal-Mart Corporate

-High energy, team oriented and a passion for growing and bettering the relationship with Wal-mart and Sam’s.
