This position will manage all aspects of consumer research (CMK) for major new product launches on the Venus brand in Beauty Care NBD (New Business Development). This is an exciting and broad new product CMK role, ranging from upstream identification of opportunities to downstream development of the proposition to ensure it truly delights the consumer.  Enables broad exposure to a variety of Beauty Care categories.

 

Important Responsibilities

·  Work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver important new product initiatives

o Manage and interpret segmentation studies and other custom survey research to help identify the target consumer

o Conduct focus groups, in-home interviews, and other ethnographic studies to gain a deeper understanding of the target

o Conduct ideation sessions to help generate rough ideas for new products and positionings

o Work as part of a cross-functional team to develop new concepts

o Quantitatively test new concepts and positionings and report the findings

o Collaborate with Product Research group on developmental product testing

o Help develop and refine packaging and graphics based on in-depth understanding of the target

o Quantitatively test packaging and graphics

o Help develop and refine advertising based on in-depth understanding of the target

o Quantitatively test advertising

o Collaborate with Beauty Care category counterparts to evaluate category portfolio optimization

·  Serve as a key resource and voice of the consumer for senior management on your initiatives

·  Help with the integration of a former Gillette business unit into the P&G Beauty Care group




Bachelor's degree required. 2-5 years related experience.  MBA preferred.
International experience preferred
Mastery of core qualitative and quantitative CMK techniques
New products experience preferred
Ability to see the business implications of the research and make recommendations  
Ability to synthesize information from various sources in developing recommendations
Ability to be the voice of the consumer for the team, and drive the consumer to the heart of every business decision
Ability to work independently as the CMK representative on a project team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent collaboration skills
