Founded in 1995, our client develops, manufactures and markets video and computer game peripherals for consoles and handheld devices.  They have won numerous industry awards for outstanding innovation and consumer-friendly design.  They market controllers, cables, memory cards, battery packs, lights & magnifiers, cases, etc... 

 

As a Graphic Designer you will be responsible for designing and producing complex projects related to marketing collateral, product packaging, and web graphics. You will also be responsible for reviewing design drafts, proofing production-ready art, and ensuring proper pagination and color assignment. In addition you will ensure that all design work meets corporate identity guidelines and you have must have a passion for building and implementing package designs that translate brand message while maximizing current technologies and trends.

 

The Role

 

As Graphic Designer you will: 

 

· Conceptualize and execute product packaging concepts which include line looks, logos, basic structural studies, etc. using standard industry computer graphics software.

· Create graphics for company's marketing materials, including brochures, packaging, sales sheets, case studies, inserts, newsletters, direct mail packages, event marketing signage, logos, user interface graphics, print ads and other jobs. Assists with Web Design as needed.

· Plan, schedule and implement graphic design projects, including collaborating with copywriters, clients and other stakeholders to develop concepts, establish layouts and copy specifications, research and select photos, create illustrations, set and implement style sheets, design pages, set color specifications, and produce mechanicals.

· Ensure that all graphic design work follows corporate identity guidelines.

· Utilize internal resources and time management skills to independently manage projects and achieve individual project milestones.

· Provide support for presentation, trade show and other packaging comp needs.

 

Qualifications

 Minimum of 3-5 years of packaging and graphic design experienceMust be an expert in Macintosh OS X, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, working on a Macintosh and other industry standard hardware and software.Proven success working with typography, logo design, photo direction and color printing processes. Experience in packaging industry and/or collateral material, web technology and structural development. Experience with photography (digital or film) and photo manipulation. Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment. Strong organization and communication skills required.Must be very creative and able to bring new ideas to the tableBA in Graphic Design
