Conducts strategic projects including project framework, data collection, analysis, and effective communication of key findings. Conducts decision support activity to ensure accurate information is available to key decision makers. Evaluates the viability of new business opportunities.  Key customers include: Product Management, Senior Management and SEC.

 

 

Job Description

Conducts strategic projects including project framework, data collection, analysis, and effective communication of key findings. Conducts decision support activity to ensure accurate information is available to key decision makers. Evaluates the viability of new business opportunities.  Key customers include: Product Management, Senior Management and SEC.

 

Corporate Strategy

§ Identifies conflicts and recommends solutions to prioritize the strategic project pipeline

§ Conducts decision support activity to ensure accurate information is available to key decision makers

§ Collaborates with customers and external vendors to develop and manage the EAI Database activity

§ Manages, creates and publishes regular and ad-hoc market reporting

§ Conducts strategic projects and/or manages analysts and vendors

§ Forms the key question to be answered, develops hypothesis and obtains buy-in from key customers

§ Develops a plan to obtain relevant data

§ Structures project into discrete components

§ Collects and analyzes data (primary and secondary)

§ Synthesizes data, hypotheses, and discrete components into a concise assessment

§ Develops and communicates key project findings to customers

§ Develops concise communications for executive staff delivery (e.g., All Employee Meeting presentations, Customer presentations, SEC presentations, etc.)

 

New Business Development

§ Supports the initial exploration of new business concepts

§ Provides initial market scoping and sizing of business opportunities

§ Analyzes if business idea meets market need

§ Supports the detailed exploration of screened businesses

§ Conducts investigation and feasibility analysis of business (e.g., detailed market sizing; customer research; etc.)

§ Collaborates with New Business Development Manager to create a detailed business plan

 

People/Relationship Management

§  Participates in hiring, motivating, evaluating, and professional development of group

§  Provides coaching and mentoring to team members

§  Advises management and provides recommendations on personnel and problem issues (that require escalation)

§ Builds strong relationships with peers, Product Managers, and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives

§ Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc.)

§ Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations

 

Department Management

§ Participates in the development and maintenance of written departmental standards and procedures

§ Directly contributes to development of tactical and annual operating plans, defining goals and objectives for the Corporate Strategy department

 

 

Qualifications

· Completion of a Master’s degree or equivalent.

· Minimium of two years in strategy consulting or corporate strategy work.

·  Proven experience at producing detailed quantitative reports on a regular basis, as well as experience at successfully performing and ideally managing a comprehensive strategic planning project.

·Strong strategic, financial, and problem solving skills, as well as solid oral and written communications capabilities.

· Excellent organizational and detail oriented skills

· Strong presentation and Public Speaking skills

· Occasional domestic and international travel
