Systems Engineer - Open Due To Growth
Nexus Energy Software is seeking a high-energy Systems Engineer to join our Professional Services team in our headquarters located in Wellesley, MA or in our office in Reston, VA located just outside of Washington, DC. We are looking for someone who takes great pride in delivering high-quality system implementations to satisfied customers – and who really knows their stuff.
As an experienced Systems Engineer you will play a lead role in the technical implementation of Nexus’ sophisticated n-tier software products. You will work collaboratively with a team of project managers, business analysts, software developers and other systems engineers on system installation, integration and configuration activities.

Responsibilities:Integrating our applications with client enterprise systems (developing input and output interfaces)Sizing databases and hardware to meet product performancePreparing technical specifications of product customizations and featuresDelivering custom reports and other featuresConfiguring systems to meet requirementsProviding system support and troubleshooting
Required Qualifications:3-5 years of directly relevant systems engineering/software implementation experience. Programming experience: PL/SQL, ASP.NET, VB.NET. Experience in C#, XML, a plus.Experience with Oracle 8i/9i/10g, Windows 2000/2003, IIS, SQL Server, UNIX a plusFamiliarity with EAI environments and middleware products: e.g WebMethods, Tibco, MQ Series, Biz Talk Strong analytical skillsStrong communication skills and comfort working in a customer-facing environment.Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.A BSCS or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical discipline required.
