Sr Analyst I, DSRM Database Admin

Job Description The DSRM Database Strategy Senior Analyst role supports the DSRM business unit in the collection, management, storage, analysis and reporting of safety data in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role blends knowledge of Drug Safety operations and associated regulatory requirements with strong technical and/or clinical expertise.
This person works directly with the DSRM Sr. Managers to develop strategy for data handling, retrieval and reporting using Oracle AERS, Business Objects and other database tools.
This person will also work with Oracle in support of the application, co-ordinate AERS support for other external (CRO, partner) relationships and be involved in AERS system administration.
The DSRM Database Strategy Senior Analyst also keeps up with trends in the industry and regulatory environment in order to assist the Database Strategy group in creating processes and tools to stay ahead of the competition.

Qualifications
-3 to 5 years working in Drug Safety or Data Management in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry

Technical/Software skills:
-Knowledge of relational databases and database concepts
-Database design and data modeling techniques
-Familiarity with SQL
-Programming experience
-Knowledge of AERS or similar drug safety reporting database
-Working knowledge of Business Objects or similar
-Knowledge of US and international drug safety regulations

Education
Bachelor degree in computer/database or science related field.
