  Job Description Develop and maintain Enterprise-level Web based applications to create, support and enhance our assessment and training products.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

· Writing and unit testing code compliant with our development guidelines.

· Providing work estimates for successful completion and implementation of software development tasks.

· Performing code maintenance and review.

· Ensuring code quality and security based upon industry best practices.

· Documenting code based upon Thomson development guidelines.

· Utilizing contemporary practices, trends and technologies in application design, development and testing.



Required Skills:

Solid software engineering skills gained through at least 3 years of practical work experience

2+ years of experience building large-scale, database-driven, web applications using .NET, Windows XP/2K Server, IIS, ADO and SQL

Demonstrated knowledge & experience with ASP.NET using C# and SQL. Strong understanding of the .NET platform architecture.

Demonstrated knowledge & experience with classic ASP,Jscript/Javascript and ColdFusion.

Experience working on enterprise level application development and user interface design.

Must have 2+ years experience with SQL Server 2000. Must be able to comfortably handle, design, and develop large databases. Must be able to efficiently code stored procedures and user defined functions.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a project team.
