Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) currently has an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
* The SEIC program has a requirement for a Senior Systems Engineer to provide engineering support as the program’s Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Technical Lead.

* The candidate will provide systems engineering support to the International Mission Planning Division, 951st ELSG and perform as the engineering interface to the SEIC program and MPEC contractors’ product development.

* The FMS technical lead will conduct evaluation, review and analysis of the following artifacts: Statement Of Objectives (SOO) and Statement of Work (SOW), Request For Proposals (RFP), Delivery Orders (D.O.), and Task Revision Notices (TRN)/Engineering Change Proposals (ECP); technical evaluation and review of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) data deliverables for sufficiency in support of the International Mission Planning Division’s mission.

* The lead will comment on the soundness of the engineering approach and technical accuracy of product descriptions/baselines as they relate to new FMS case development.

* Will provide engineering support and briefings on selected technical topics (e.g., JMPS architecture, MPE component development, capabilities planning, system demonstrations, test, etc.) during Program Management Reviews (PMR), Bi- Weekly IPT telecons, and Face-To-Face FMS meetings, as required by the FMS Program Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in EE, ME, CS or related technical discipline

9+ years experience.

Advanced degree preferred.

DESIRED SKILLS:
* Have a working knowledge of the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) capabilities.

* Be experienced in Systems Engineering support as it relates to international product development.

* Proven experience with FMS case management as it relates to analysis of requirements and capabilities previously fielded under separate cases for that same country or country platform, and provide an analysis of future operational requirements based upon country requests/inquiries.

* Experience with performing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems

* Previous work related experience with analysis, assessment and formulation of new migration strategies for technology insertion.

* Experience with providing technical support for future capabilities planning and roadmap requirements for tactical platforms and/or fleets associated with mission planning, software modifications, upgrades and enhancements.
