MSCE Senior Engineer

Title:  MSCE Senior Engineer

 

Location:  Andover, MA

 

Length of Assignment: Full:Time

 

Project Description:

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent. 

 

Must have extensive “walk on water” knowledge of:

- Windows 2000/2003 Server administration

- Windows 2000/2003 Network services

- Windows 2000/2003 Virtual Server

 

Prior experience with prior Microsoft technologies, such as Windows NT as well

as awareness as to what is coming down the pike from Microsoft (i.e.: Vista) is

desirable, as the client believes that Microsoft evolves its technologies in a

predictable and systematic manner.  Knowledge of how Microsoft NT environments

have evolved to today’s technologies will help our engineer better support

future evolution. 

 

Familiarity with the integration of non-Microsoft technologies such as Firefox

with the Microsoft platform is desired. 

Prior experience working at or with Digital, Compaq, or HP is a plus, but not

required. 

Our engineer must also have some hardware skills.  There will be frequent

access to a world-class hardware lab with all types of HP hardware and

configurations, such as blade servers, SAN environments, and more.  While it is

not necessary for our resource to be a hardware guru, they need to be able to

reboot a system, switch some cables, etc. if required. 

 

Other: 

They must be able to access the operating system through a variety of methods,

including Integrated Lights Out (ILO) and serial access.

 

Must be a strong team player.

 

Skills Required: Windows 2000/2003 Server administration, Windows 2000/2003 Network services, Windows 2000/2003 Virtual Server

 

Skills Desired: WinNT
