Graphical Language UI Engineers

Job SummaryWill work as a member of a small high energy sub-team focused on foundation architectures for all MathWorks graphical languages (e.g., Simulink, Stateflow, SimMechanics, etc.).

ResponsibilitiesWill be expected to participate as a senior contributor at all levels of the software development cycle including designing, architecting, and implementing. You will be getting in at the ground level of major new advances in core MathWorks products taking our graphical languages to a whole new level.

Main responsibilities: Compile functional specifications and build consensus across teams. Work with your peers to create and maintain core design and architectures of a Graphical Language Editor Engine module. Come up with new creative UI designs and features that dramatically increase the performance, scalability, and usability of our graphical language platform products: Simulink and Stateflow.

QualificationsMust have at least 4 years experience in C++. Must have a Masters, or PhD, in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related engineering field. Must be familiar with graph theory (advanced knowledge a big plus). Must be able demonstrate high level software design skills especially Object Oriented Design and methodologies (UML knowledge a plus). Must be able to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely. Knowledge/experience with multi-threaded programming, formal language theory, compilers, Qt, MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow are all big pluses.
