DirectX Audio & Video Engineer
Job SummaryLead a small high-energy team focused on developing audio and video interfaces for the MATLAB & Simulink environments.
ResponsibilitiesUsing your C/C++ programming skills, OO design knowledge, and multi-threading development experience, you will work with the Test & Measurement team to create cross-platform audio and video tools involving multimedia files, MATLAB objects, and graphical user interfaces.
The primary responsibility will be developing DirectX based interfaces for audio and video file I/O, expanding current device I/O solutions, and integrating a broader set of multi-media APIs into the MATLAB environment.
This is a leadership position involving cross-team requirements and cross-product development. You will also participate in all software life cycle activities including software design, coding, quality and performance improvement for existing features, code reviews, and participate in testing and documentation.
Looking for team leaders with project planning experience, an eye for detail, and a commitment to getting things done.
QualificationsBS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area At least 3 years development experience using C/C++ required Must have strong working knowledge of DirectX (DirectShow, DirectSound, etc.) and the Windows operating system Basic experience of COM, ATL, and multi-threading development is strongly preferred Experience with other languages or technologies like QuickTime or Java is a plus At least 2 years experience working with audio/video data and multi-media codecs is preferred Unix or Mac development experience is a plus Must have a proven track-record for deploying software tools from concept, to design, to delivery
