Title:  Data Analyst

 

Location:  Boston, MA

 

Length of Assignment: 9 Months

 

Project Description:

Our client is looking for a solid Data Analyst to work on a data integration

project. This is an initial 9 month assignment with the possibility of a 1 year

extension.

 

Data Analyst

 

The Contractor will provide Data Analysis on a Data Integration Project.  The

Contractor shall perform the following specific duties, as required:

 

* Analyze and document business and system requirements

* Analyze and document business processes

* Analyze and perform data comparisons by querying against one or more Oracle

database instances

* Review data and query results for anomalies and/or data patterns

* Identify trends and pattern in data and analyze underlying processing that

causes patterns to form

* Identify defects in data results and analyze underlying causes

* Prepare business and system use cases

* Prepare and execute system and user test cases

* Participate in team meetings; resolve of action items

* Represent projects on cross-agency initiatives

* Participate in review process of all system analysis documentation

* Coordinate business user participation in requirements analysis, use case

documentation, and system and user testing

* Work with vendors, as directed, to assist in preparation of project

deliverables

* Create and maintain various other project documents; and

* Perform other tasks generally associated with the business analyst function,

as needed

 

Deliverables

 

The Contractor will provide the following specific deliverables, either

one-time or ongoing, as required:

 

* Generate and execute complex SQL scripts

* Perform detailed data analyses and process comparisons between the data

warehouse and a new source system

* Perform complex process and code analyses that are used in database and

source application processing

* Generate and execute test cases and scripts, both SQL and text driven

* Give Updates to Management

* Summary of deliverables and services provided within the time period of each

timesheet as supporting documentation to the timesheet

* Assume independent responsibility for specific project area within the

reporting and analysis arena

* Provide expertise with technical tools within the warehouse framework

* Work with architect and development lead to improve and analyze design and

query performance
