Hardware/Laptop Technician

Job Description: We are currently seeking a Hardware/Laptop Computer Technician to join the CompuCom team.  This individual will be responsible for performing on-site or in-house Desktop Support servicing, repair, and installations on desktops, laptops and printers. Provide technical support in activities associated with the identification, prioritization and resolution of reported problems. Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for both Hardware and Software issues as well as performing general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to computer systems in the San Ramon Area. 

 

Specific Skills and Requirements Include:

A+ Certification (Required for consideration)
Good organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Minimum 2-3 years experience in Hardware support(specifically Laptops)  in a professional environment

In depth knowledge of Windows 98, NT, and 2000 client operating systems.

Previous demonstrated experience in working independently, being able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines.

Strong decision making abilities

Any Vendor Specific Certifications are a HUGE PLUS! 

Must be able to lift 40 lbs, during the course of duties involving lifting and moving equipment.

Ability to pass 7 year Background Check(Criminal and Drivers) and Drug Screen
