 SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

 

 

Successful Mfg. company in West Los Angeles has an immediate opening for a System/Network Administrator.  The applicant must have at least 2 years of experience as a System/Network Administrator and at least 4 years experience with computer work. This position requires a  strong grasp of computer security including deploying software patches and also preventing break-ins and other security problems with preventative measures. The successful applicant will be responsible for overall security and the upkeep of firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Applicants must be HS graduated with A+, MCSA, MCSE certifications.

General Duties

·  Install, support, and maintain servers and other computer systems. Plan for and respond to service outages and other problems.Maintain network infrastructure such as switches and routers, and diagnoses problems with these or with the behavior of network-attached computers.

·  Administration of security devices such as firewalls.

·  Maintenance of the network's authorization infrastructure, as well as network backup systems.

·  Supervise or train computer operators, and being the equivalent of a trouble shooter for computer problems beyond the knowledge of technical support staff.

·  Other duties may include scripting or light programming, project management for systems-related projects.

Software KnowledgeMicrosoft Server 2000 and 2003. Microsoft Windows XP. Norton Anti Virus Corporate 10.0 Microsoft Outlook 2003. SalesLogix 6.2
