Sunbelt Business Advisors, the Seattle office of the nation’s largest and fastest growing business brokerage firm, is looking for new agents. We will teach you an exciting and satisfying profession.

With over 300 offices across the US, Sunbelt is a leader in the exciting and emerging field of business brokering. Sunbelt agents assist with the sale of thousands of small and medium sized businesses around the country.

There are over 17 million privately held businesses in America. Approximately 20% of these businesses are for sale at any one time as their owners face retirement, poor health, divorce, or simple burnout. When a business decides to sell, concerns about price, negotiations and confidentiality are paramount. The use of a professional Sunbelt agent eliminates these concerns for the seller. With the breadth and reach of the Sunbelt network behind him or her, the Sunbelt agent can market the business to the widest possible market in a professional and confidential manner.

The time to join this exciting profession is now. With an entire generation of baby boomers poised to retire and sell their businesses, more businesses will be for sale in the upcoming years than at any time in the nation’s history. The demand for the services of business brokers is about to explode.

A business broker works with business owners and buyers to coordinate and negotiate the transfer of ownership for small to medium privately held businesses. If you enjoy working in a variety of different businesses and industries and are comfortable selling and negotiating then you will enjoy business brokering. As a new agent, you must be willing to obtain a real estate license. You will then receive classroom and on-the-job training that will enable you to earn top commissions.

Sunbelt agents’ responsibilities include:

• Prospecting for businesses using marketing techniques developed by Sunbelt

• Working with business owners to determine the true cash flow of the business and assisting the owner pricing the business

• Working with the office to effectively market the seller's business

• Meeting with buyers to match them with businesses and evaluate their qualifications

• Facilitating negotiations between the seller and buyer

• Acquiring third party consents to the transaction such as landlords or franchisors

• Conducting the closing to complete the transfer of the business from the seller to the new owner

All positions are 100% commission-based. New agents must have sufficient capital to carry themselves through the training and start-up phase. All agents are independent contractors and responsible for their own benefits.

Please email your resume along with a cover letter for consideration.
