Intern - Marketing

SUMMARY OVERVIEW The position will perform market research, identify product trends, and work with the team to meet organizational objectives. The scope of the responsibility will include the development of literature and collateral materials in support of these efforts.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the timely collection, collation, analysis and distribution of data to enable a competitive edge in the marketplace.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate existing and potential product markets
• Research market conditions to analyze current sales and development of new concepts, ideas, and applications for products
• Provide marketing and competitive intelligence in written format to meet specific defined marketing needs
• Provide insights into consumer behavior, market reactions and competitive postures needed to support decision-making across multiple product categories
• Prepare reports and graphic illustrations of findings
• Organize large volumes of data from multiple sources and synthesize it into organized formats for quick access on an as needed basis

Actively pursuing Bachelors degree; Demonstrated high performance orientation, detail orientation, and sound judgment; Must have strong coordination, facilitation and communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a focused team

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Advanced PC skills, proficient in MS Office Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Individual may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Employee will be required to use computer keyboard or other equipment for extended periods of time.
