Stationary Operating Engineer

Job Description: Stationary Operating Engineer needed to fill day shift position. Duties will include operation and monitoring of Central Plant and approximately 4 million square feet of high tech clean rooms, labs and office spaces. The Engineer will monitor site conditions via an advanced DDC automation system from the control room of the Central Plant and contact the appropriate plant site maintenance managers when alarm conditions exist. The engineer will conduct routine rounds, inspections, and be able to prepare written reports. Work at times will be in dirty and noisy environments.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must have 4-6 years Central Plant experience operating and maintaining Chillers, Boilers, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Air compressors, Motor controls and building Automation and associated systems. Heavy HVAC background. Experience in managing contractor's and subcontractors, maintenance crew's, computerized maintenance systems, developing preventative maintenance systems and developing maintenance budgets. Computer Literate and experience with DDC automation. Ability to complete and maintain log sheets. Read, understand, interpret, and work from plans, drawings and specifications. Candidate must have EPA 608 universal technician's license. Ability to bend, climb, stoop, crawl, twist, walk, and use extremities including wrists and fingers. Applicant would be on call 24/7.

Desired Skills:

Delta Automation DDC controls programming, Delta Automation graphics design, American Automatrix programming experience and Barrington Controls programming experience. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project desired.


Required Education (including Major): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
