Facilities Manager: 

 

General Summary:

Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.  Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.  Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.  Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.  May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards.  Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules, performance requirements and to resolve technical problems.Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organizations.Manages the Facilities budgets.

 

Skills and Abilities:Experience with MS Office Suite.

 

Job Qualifications:College degree preferred.Four to six years experience in Facilities Management.Must have experience with real estate brokers and negotiating lease contracts.Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18000.
