Custodian II - 8pm-4:30 AM Sun - Thur $13.55 hr

JOB DESCRIPTION:   Custodian II Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures,

and state, federal and local laws.

- Performs the scheduling and training of the custodial staffs.

- Maintains inventory of custodial supplies.

- Restocks restrooms and cleans facilities.

- Oversees major cleaning projects by outside vendors.

- Performs full range of cleaning duties as required.

- Cleans floors, tables, bathrooms and offices in a prescribed manner and according to a

predetermined schedule; operates equipment to scrub/polish floors in specified areas.

- Dusts and waxes furniture, fixtures, doors, trim and related furnishings; washes interior

glass including partitions, framed pictures, certain windows, mirrors, etc.

- Cleans and maintains cafeteria, including coffee maker, furniture, microwave ovens and

refrigerator.

- Removes trash to outside receptacles and stores trash according to recycling

requirements.

- Moves furniture, supplies and miscellaneous equipment as directed.

- Reports all items in need of repair to Supervisor.

- Responds as directed to perform emergency cleaning work where and when required.

- Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and

regulations.

 

High school diploma or equivalent.

A minimum of 2 years custodial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Must have experience with low-speed floor scrubbers, high-speed buffers and carpet extractors.

Must have knowledge of chemicals and procedures required to operator scrubbers, buffers and carpet extractors (i.e. strippers, wax, degreasers, etc).

Must be able to lift 50 lbs (equal to 2-5 gallon pails).
