Research Scientist III-- Assay Development
Kelly Scientific Resources (KSR) offers a full-range of scientific staffing options and is currently recruiting for a Research Scientist III in Tempe, AZ. The position is conducting preclinical research relating to the development of new pharmaceuticals. The primary focus will be to conduct cell culture and small animal studies to understand the mechanism and mode of action of the pharmaceutical. Responsibilities in this position include: execution of biological, immunocytochemical, and biochemical assays; preparing technical reports, summaries, and protocols; making detailed observations, and maintaining professional expertise through familiarity of scientific literature.
Primary responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
- Plan and conduct cell culture studies using novel pharmaceuticals.
- Plan and develop biological, immunocytochemical, and biochemical assays.
- Performs data and statistical analyses using PC-based software.
- Collaborate with academic and contract laboratories on preclinical cell-based research.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years POST-DOC OR INDUSTRY experience and demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles.
- You must have 5 years experience in ASSAY DEVELOPMENT.
- Proficiency in working with cell cultures; excellent knowledge of common molecular biology protocols, immunoassays, and PCR.
- Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, presentation, human relations and organization skills.
