R&D Scientist - Virology

R&D Scientist - Virology Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking a Virologist to work in the research and development department of a growing biotech company located in Birmingham, AL.
The successful candidate for this position will be implementing a strategic vision for the development of products for our client's proteomics and genomics business segments.

Responsibilities:
The position will report directly to a Senior R&D Scientist and includes overall development of the research & development of viral delivery technologies. Direction of programs include RNAi, transgenics and genomic (whole genome analysis) projects. Additionally, the position includes supportive roles in the direction of sales, marketing & technical services.
' New Product Planning & Introduction
' Product Development
' Overall development of the development & maturation of products
' Oversight in the development of the transitions to product manufacturing, scientific marketing and sales training.

Qualifications:
' Ph.D. or equivalent in virology, cell biology, immunology or related with 5+ years working experience.
' Ability to work well independently, one-to-one with your executive team, or as a member of research & development team
' Demonstrated leadership and previous supervisory experience
' Outstanding communication skills

Salary Range - $60-$70K.
