QA Engineer (Medical Devices)

Exciting  Quality Engineering opportunity with a large medical device company located in a highly desirable location in the Southwestern United States.  This individual will provide engineering support for equipment design, troubleshooting, process optimization, procurement, process/component qualifications and equipment implementation. 

 

Educational Requirement:

BS degree required in an Engineering Discipline such as:  Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical.

 

Experience Requirement:

Five years experience as a Quality or Manufacturing Engineer in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or medical device manufacturing environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.  Maintain the existing quality assurance program to ensure the performance and quality of raw materials and products conform to established standards.

2. Improve the existing quality assurance program to increase efficiency and decrease cost while maintaining acceptable product quality levels.

3. Evaluate and implement automated systems for manufacturing and data acquisition.

4. Implement statistical process control (SPC) as a routine operating procedure in manufacturing operations.

5. Track and report on quality performance indicators to facility.

6.  Maintain and develop knowledge of inspection methods and quality systems through study, seminars and visits to other facilities and manufacturing sites.
