Order Control Supervisor

The Order Control Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of the Order Control team and the operations within the department. This position works to satisfy requests from both internal and external customers and focuses on process improvements through automation for Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp.

 

Responsibilities:Supervise day-to-day operations of the Order Control departmentAnalyze department statistics and create reports to identify trends, inefficiencies; assess productivityProvide management with monthly reports of department activitiesReview all mis-shipment reports and approve corrective policiesWork closely with Accounting Manager to develop synergies within the departmentsManage quarter-end workload and provide timely reports to sales and managementUnderstand and be able to communicate financial impact of department policy changesParticipate on or lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvementsParticipate in the implementation of the new ERP system for both the Order Control and AR department.Become a super-user of the new ERP system and assist other departmentsServe as a backup for the AR Supervisor positionAssist the Financial Systems department with reporting requestsPerform ad hoc queries requested by other departmentsProvide strong leadership and development opportunities for staff membersResponsible for performing annual staff performance reviewsSpecial projects as assignedMust be able to work overtime hours as needed

 

 Qualifications:Bachelor DegreeExperience (3-5 years) in a directly related position; experience should include supervisory responsibilitiesProven knowledge of one or more of the following: invoice or claims processing, inventory issues (i.e. overages, shortages, damages, returns) or warehousing PC proficiency to include MS Office and email systems
