Oncology Sales Specialist

Genta Incorporated is an oncology focused biopharmaceutical company.  If you are looking for a dynamic sales opportunity where your efforts will improve the lives of cancer patients then this may be the opportunity for you.  We are seeking experienced oncology sales professionals in major markets throughout the United States including but not limited to: South Bend, Indiana; Kalamazoo, Michigan; San Francisco and Fresno, California; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Birmingham, Alabama.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

Ø  Strategically target customers and utilize strong clinical knowledge to persuasively present product information and identify needs and opportunities. 

 

Ø  Foster effective relationships with customers and all other relevant participants in the sale process including office and reimbursement personnel. 

 

Ø  Present clinical information on approved products to healthcare professionals.

 

Ø  Develop and effectively manage territory business plan using available resources while timely handling various administrative requirements.

 

 Qualifications:



 

Ø Bachelors’ degree (preferably in a scientific field).

Ø  At least 7 years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience including a minimum of 3 years oncology sales experience. 

Ø  Strong knowledge of the oncology marketplace and demonstrated ability to comfortably discuss relevant clinical information. 

Ø  Knowledge of liquid tumor cancers a major plus. 

Ø  Strong interpersonal skills, communication and organization skills.

Ø  Experience with the issues associated with: managed Care, hospital sales, drug distribution channels, reimbursement, and developing/executing Clinical Speaker programs.

Ø  Safe driving record.

 

Travel Requirements: varies based on territory: ranges from 10% - 40%
