Senior Credit Review Analyst
Job Summary
Ongoing evaluation of credit risk attendant to the bank’s commercial, commercial real estate, consumer and residential loan portfolios. Evaluation will include analyzing financial statements, analyzing company and economic trends, analyzing cash flows (both direct and indirect) and assigning risk-rating criteria in conformance with bank policy. Job objectives include: assisting in early identification of problem loans; providing an objective opinion to bank management of the impact of problem credits on the affairs of the bank; and, measuring compliance with established loan policies.
Job Qualifications
o Education and/or Experience: Four year degree with a concentration in finance or accounting; and two to four years lending/credit analysis experience and/or training.
o Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, government regulations and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or questions from bank personnel and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to top management, loan officers and/or the Board of Directors of ANB.
o Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probabilities and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to perform project analysis, analyze data trends and back test against pro-forma business data.
o Reasoning Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Specialized proficiency applied to complex tasks and problems that require knowledge of numerous approaches and principles.
o Software Application Skills: Proficiency at spreadsheet and word processing applications including understanding and applying various financial functions in the spreadsheet environment. Ability to acquire query writing capabilities and to master Powerpoint for presentations.
Duties and Responsibilities
o Continuous review of credit and assignment of objective risk rating criteria.
o Continuous evaluation of the bank’s credit and documentation quality.
o Identification of potential credit problems. Assist in establishing “corrective” guidelines.
o Assist in determining the bank’s Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (“ALLL).
o Assist in maintaining the bank’s Problem Loan and OREO/OA List.
o Assist in tracking both policy and regulatory exceptions.
o Assist in various Board reporting requirements.
o Assist in other duties as directed.

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required include close vision work and ability to adjust focus.
