Financial Service Representative - Supervisor

SUMMARY

Provides customer service in all areas by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

 

Take Teller Transactions.

 

Be knowledgeable of all deposit account types and open new accounts.

 

Type, compile, and verify application information for mortgage, commercial, and consumer loans.

 

Answer phone calls, and handle walk in customers as well as schedule appointments for officers.

 

Inputs loan application information into the computer system.

 

Must be able to run debits and credits, loan payment coupons, and complete credit inquires; as well as identify errors in postings and make corrections.

 

Must be able to quote payoffs correctly, run tickets, prepare, and file releases. 

 

Request documents from customers such as Personal/Business Tax Returns, Personal/Business

Financial Statements, Profit/Loss Statements, and Balance Sheets. 

 

Calls or writes credit bureau and employer to verify accuracy of information.

 

Types and mails approval and denial letters to applicants and may notify Realtors.

 

May record data on status of loans, including number of new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has supervisory responsibilities for the other Financial Service Representative(s) in the location.

 

QUALIFICATIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Be required to complete lending classes offered by the bank and Center for Financial Training.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Two-year college or technical school program certificate; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

 

Will eventually obtain insurance license for life, property, and casualty.
