Database Analyst 4

Job Description: Position is Exempt.
Designs, tests, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's physical, relational, and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms and computing environments. Participates in the development of data architectures and database management policies and standards. Provides in-depth consulting services in the identification and resolution of data issues. Participates in the planning, design, and usage of data resources. May develop detailed data models and entity relationship diagrams.

Responsible for developing database systems to automate manual processes. Will recommend and implement process improvements; Will develop ad-hoc reports, troubleshoot data issues, validate result sets, analyze data; Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation, documentation, security policy compliance and standards; and Will work with business partners to define information needs and translate into technical deliverables.


Minimum Qualifications: 5 to 7 years experience writing SQL code, stored procedures, MS Analytical and Reporting Services Practical knowledge of IBM DB2 and SQL Server databases, DTS packages, performance tuning; Experience gathering business requirements in an ambiguous environment, translating into technical deliverables, and identifying and prioritizing requirements; Expert in data analysis, data design and data modeling; Ability to work independently and as part of team; and Strong communications skills as individual will be working with the Business and Technical teams.


Preferred Skills: Familiarity web technologies, including .NET, C++, Java, Java Script, HTML; Familiarity with Business Objects, Cognos or other reporting tools; Knowledge of Wells Fargo Consumer Credit information systems (IDS) a plus; and Banking and regulatory compliance experience.
