BSA Officer



Job Purpose:

 

The position of Bank Secrecy Act Officer is to be responsible for ensuring that the bank adheres to a strong anti-money laundering system and control, and high standards of customer and employee identification.


Duties:

 

*Ensures the bank adheres to BSA and related laws' policies and procedures, guidelines, tracking forms and application forms, for currency transaction reporting, suspicious activity reporting, monetary instruments sold for cash, exemption of customers, Patriot Act and OFAC processes. Ensure that they are updated when changes to laws are made.
*Reviews all departments' policies for compliance to BSA/AML/OFAC/USA Patriot Act regulations.
*Follow all other instructions & perform any other job related duties as assigned.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional training and experience.
* Minimum 3+ years experience in the banking industry & in a regulatory environment.
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

 

*** Applicants not meeting all requirements may be considered for BSA Specialist position, in lieu of BSA Officer position.
