I have been engaged by my tier 1 automotive supplier located in central Alabama to locate and recruit a professional in the automotive paint process.  This is an exceptional opportunity to join a very successful supplier to the burgeoning automotive sector in Alabama and the Southeast.

Some key points regarding the position:

 Key individual responsible for the paint process at the Development front-end.  (pre-production).  This is a Development role but having a background in the actual production process would be excellent! Will be in charge of entire paint process including development of paint racks as well as coordination of the paint program. Works closely with customers to establish manufacturing concepts, utilization of production equipment along with specification of new equipment. Leadership in transferring new production processes to the manufacturing plant from Development. This key individual will be key in the development of bids for new business.

 

Key Requirements:

 Extensive knowledge of paint processes and paint mixing. Strong in development of production documentation PLC background (Siemens or Allen Bradley preferred). Robotic programming familiarity (Fanuc and ABB robotics).  Programming skills are not critical. Two-year degree or equivalent work experience required. Three to five years experience required.
