Bilingual (Korean) Materials Analyst- Direct Hire - AL

JOB TITLE: MATERIALS MANAGER BASIC FUNCTIONS: ' Represents the interest of the Company in establishing purchasing agreements with other companies seeking to do business with Johnson Controls
' Has purchasing responsibility including Production Materials, Production Tooling, Production Equipment, Prototype and Pilot Materials
' Functions as liaison between Johnson Controls' engineers, supplier sales, engineering, and the Customer
' Procures, on a timely basis, material needed to satisfy customer orders for pre-production and pilot parts
' Establishes and inputs database for MRP and related production planning software systems
' Develops sound business practices, procedures and documentation that will insure good control of supplier releases, incoming materials shipments, receiving documents, purchased inventory levels, in-plant material storage and movement, finished goods, inventory levels, and shipments to the Customer

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

' Manages and monitors the activities of subordinates and the accuracy and completeness of all materials-related record keeping
' Establishes goals and action plans for continued reduction of materials-related costs. This includes transportation, packaging, handling, and inventory levels
' Works with Division Purchasing staff and supplier base to maintain and improve material price advantage
' Uses purchasing leverage to insure supplier compliance with established quality standards
' Provides the Production Departments with material availability and shipment schedule information for effective use of manpower
' Establishes goals and action plans for the recording and reporting of Monthly Supplier Performance Ratings along with the Quality Manager
' Maintains 5S in work area
' Performs all other tasks are requested by the Plant Manager and/or necessary to provide our Customer with high quality, low cost, on-time products
' Has the authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appear
' Complies with and supports the Montgomery Facility Affirmative Action requirements

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports directly to the Plant Manager

EDUCATION REQUIRED / PREFERRED:
BS Degree or equivalent Materials experience required
BS in Materials and Logistics Management preferred
5-7 years experience in operation management required
Korean and English language spoken and read preferred
