Job Description: Director Quality Assurance The Director Quality Assurance

The Director Quality Assurance is responsible for oversight of all testing and quality assurance activities associated with the launch and post-launch releases for all Disney Mobile technology platforms and applications. This individual is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing an effective and appropriate testing strategy for the organization. Once the strategy is established and in place, this role is responsible evaluating testing needs based on business demands, developing testing plans including overall timelines and level-of-effort estimates, and overall testing vendor management and selection.

The Director Quality Assurance is responsible for working with the appropriate business, technology, and vendor organizations to ensure an extremely high-quality delivery of Disney Mobile business functionality to the marketplace. This role leads or drives: test strategy development, execution, and organizational sign-off; test vendor selection and management; coordination with the Technology PMO on critical status reporting and planning; test requirement definition, review, and sign-off from testing vendors; evaluation of individual application vendors testing strategies, plans, and results to ensure quality deliveries; definition of test entry and exit criteria, gates, and success criteria; defect management and reporting; and Testing tool selection and enforcement.

Qualifications:

12+ years experience with test management in the telecommunications field including wireless required.

Demonstrated knowledge in the applications and business processes for wireless telecommunications operators.

Ability to develop and articulate testing strategies and plans in a multi-vendor environment.

Review and validation of vendor testing plans, requirements, or overall release deliveries.

Experience managing large-scale, multi-vendor testing efforts in a dynamic environment.

Experience managing vendors or product suppliers.

Bachelors Degree in a related business or technical field required.
