Art Manager - 20839

Manages the visual direction of a health plan's communications portfolio and oversees the effective implementation of visual design and direction for all communications projects and media. Position requires hands-on design as well as input into the design work of 4 graphic design staff in a fast-paced, high volume Creative Services department. Will lead a major rebranding initiative and ensure that all materials are converted in compliance with corporate branding guidelines. Consults and collaborates with decision makers and internal clients to determine appropriate design criteria for assignments including member communications, marketing materials, health education collateral, provider communications, newsletters and websites.  Leads and participates as a contributor and consultant on enterprise-wide assignments with a visual design component to achieve visual excellence and consistency on all initiatives that include a visual design element. Develops effective systems to manage visual assets and archive projects for multiple brands.

 

A Design degree and 10 years art direction experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Managed care experience a plus. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required. Strong technical understanding of Macintosh environment and design programs.
