Join our fun, hard working professional team where your input matters!  Stanbrooke Custom Homes is a volume "On Your Lot" custom home builder.  We are seeking a motivated, CAD operator / designer with a high degree of organizational & administrative skills to work in our construction department.  Position may be permanant / temporary, part-time or full time.

 

Stanbrooke is technology driven with a desire to produce a great product for our clients, with a $3 million model home & sales center located off hiway 167 & 512 near downtown Puyallup Washington. Competitive pay and fun team of construction professionals.

 

Applicant will have a minimum of 1 year experience with AutoCAD.  Good communication and organizational skills a must.  Understanding of residential construction methods a plus!  Compensation package includes competitive salary, health benefits, and 401k if position becomes permanant.

Minimum Skill Qualifications:

 Minimum of 1 year experience with AutoCAD. Good communication skills both oral and written.Excellent organizational & administrative skills.Must have a positive "Can-Do" attitude and the ability to work with all types of people.Must be very detail oriented and willing to follow direction.Must be a self starter and the ability to work independently.Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer & Outlook Excellent work ethic Good attendance record

 



 

Job Purpose:
Prepares architectural plans by drawing structural and functional components; maintaining databases.

Duties:

* Prepares final drawings by studying architectural sketches, specifications, and supporting documents; preparing drawings of the structural system; air-conditioning, heating, and ventilating systems; electrical systems; plumbing; and landscaping; drawing multiple views; identifying dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances, and materials.

* Identifies and verifies specifications by examining architectural documents.

* Modifies drawings by studying changes; redrawing requirements; changing identifications.

* Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information; conferring with construction dept and/or client.

* Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.

* Maintains data base by entering data; completing backups.

* Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
