SR. PRICING ANALYST
With our US operations dating back to 1941, Gate Gourmet is a global leader in the airline catering business. Our main focus is on integrated supply chain management, comprehensive in-flight solutions, and retail concepts. Our 22,000 employees produce approximately 195 million quality meals each year in 115 flight kitchens in 30 countries on five continents. With global services in excess of $2 billion annually, we cater to the individual demands of more than 500 airline customers. For more information, please visit www.gategourmet.com
As our Sr. Pricing Analyst, you will help us take our pricing processes to a new, more strategic level as part of a Pricing Team re-engineered to complement our new global marketing strategy. Your role will go beyond pricing airline menus to include creating sophisticated and flexible models that are responsive to the diverse needs of our airline client base. Every aspect of our organization will be upgraded over the next few years, and this role will enable you to showcase your initiative and demonstrate your ability to deliver results. Depending on your talents and performance, you might move into a management role in Pricing or into Finance, Supply Chain Management, or other areas in our organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, or other related field. Significant experience as an analyst in Finance, Accounting, or similar area, including developing complex models. Outstanding MS Excel skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred:
· Pricing experience.
· Background in the air travel or catering industries.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pricing airline menus -- from "specs" provided by our customers, you will create breakout sheets and then pricing for each client. Then, you will disseminate the results to managers in our 40+ field kitchens as well as other GGI professionals, such as account executives. Also, you will monitor the variables that impact the prices, such as inflation, and make adjustments as necessary. Often you'll collaborate with a unit buyer in "shopping around" for the most competitive prices.
Conducting financial analyses -- you will conduct a broad range of financial analysis. This aspect of your role will bring variety to your accountabilities, and opportunities to stretch yourself and learn new skills. For example, you might perform analysis on (and develop new models for) new products and services that are under development, and play a key role in bringing them to market.
Maintaining a working rapport with your counterpart at the airlines -- on a daily basis you'll interact with dining service personnel at your client airlines to negotiate pricing changes and exchange information.
Fulfilling various administrative functions -- you'll prepare and circulate current pricing bulletins and maintain updated files with regard to information such as yields, weights and measures, and pricing formulas. In addition, you'll act as an information source to unit managers and regional vice presidents.
If this sounds like the right mix of challenge and opportunity for you, and you meet the minimum qualifications, we want to hear from you!
