This position reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing.

 

Overview:

Perform all functions necessary to design, develop and implement Marketing initiatives for onboard service, partnerships, promotions and advertising.  Develop timeline for all deliverables in coordination with all onboard products, services, airport services, sales and marketing initiatives and operational deadlines based on OA/industry experience and marketing experience.

 

Responsibilities:Develop and implement Tactical Marketing Plan for products and partnerships with budget for launch; Develop ongoing onboard services innovations, including coordination with In-flight Services, Dining and Cabin, Airport Services, Reservations, IT and other departments; Maximize benefits through barter or other negotiation tactics (and minimizing cash outlay), creating best possible products and value-added for MAXjet customers based on relationships fostered with vendors and partners – potential and current.

 

Requirements:Ability to present solution-based recommendations with all requisite decision factors – outline, cost-benefit analysis, proposed budget and cost comparisons, timelines, systems development/integration and training; Ability to work under extreme pressure and balance multiple products and services, all in differing stages of the decision-making process and in constantly changing environment; Ability to maintain grace under fire – whether through presenting to CEO or answering to multiple parties on status updates; Ability to think analytically and work in very close-quarters with little to no private space; Inherent understanding of Duty Free, In-flight Entertainment, brand and product differentiation within airline industry, especially in premium international products;

 

Preference given to those with substantial work experience in an international environment as an:MBA or equivalent; Product Manager in a previous airline; Partnership/Loyalty Marketing experience in previous airline; Operational experience such as:   Flight Attendant in Premium International (prefer Transatlantic as well as Transpacific) Business or First Class; Airport Services experience as CSA or supervisor;  Account Executive in Airline Catering/Provisioning Companies – LSG, Gate Gourmet etc.; Successful project manager experience with ability to create master plan with all milestones and budget information
