Customer Service Agent - Part-time - Temporary

 

Airport Customer Service Agents

 

 

 Air Canada is currently seeking part-time Customer Service Agents to assist passengers at the Miami International and Ft Lauderdale Airports.

 

The schedule is a minimum of  20 hours per week and you must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.  These positions are to cover the peak travel period of November through April.

 

 As a Customer Service Agent for Air Canada you will:

 

-Check in Passengers, issue boarding pass, seat selection and verify immigration documentation
- Check in baggage
- Make reservations, compute fares, issue tickets
- Coordinate the boarding of passengers onto the aircraft:
              . Ensure safety procedures are followed
              . Monitor carry-on baggage
              . Assist passengers as required
- Operate loading bridges
- Handle irate passengers/over sells and those affected by irregular operations.
- Handle VIP's
- Assist physically challenged passengers. Includes pushing wheel chairs if required.     

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

-  Must have an ability to use tact, good judgment and initiative.

- Ability to work under pressure with a minimum of supervision

- Must wear Company uniform as prescribed and conform to Company grooming standards.

- Must be able to stand for extended period of time.

- Must, after training, be able to efficiently use the Company's automated reservations, ticketing and baggage tracing systems.

- Must be able to lift seventy (70) lbs unaided.

- Must be able to work shift work including irregular shifts and overtime when required/directed.

-Must be able to work at either the Miami or Ft Lauderdale Airport as scheduled.
