RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, develop and implement programs for staff training and development
• Administer Basic Cargo Training to new staff
• Monitor, measure and report on staff training and development plans and achievements
within agreed formats and time lines.
• Liaise with other functional/departmental managers to understand aspects and needs of
staff training and development
• Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality
management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, etc.
• Liaise with Airport, State and Federal Authorities
• Maintain the integrity of all training records
• Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
REQUIREMENTS:
• Expert knowledge and experience in air cargo operations, document processing, operating skills
of all warehouse GSE, including safety procedures and audit experience.
• Some training experience required or educational background in training
• Knowledge of computer systems
• Develop training material using PowerPoint for traffic and warehouse functions
• Knowledge of airline safety guidelines (OSHA)
• Knowledge of Workers Compensation Program
• Effective communications skills (verbal and written) – including with the FAA-TSA-IATA
• Knowledge of and Certification in Dangerous Goods (2 years actual application of
DGR work required)
• Flexibility in hours and days of work
