Support Services Manager - Landscape / Nursery

 

For over 50 years, Shemin has been the leading Landscape Supply Company providing professional landscapers with nursery stock, hardscapes, landscape lighting and irrigation.

 

 

Overview

·  In this hands-on role, you will be the primary administrative interface between the sales and service center(s) and corporate accounting, accounts payable and human resources.  You will ensure Shemin policies and procedures are followed in accordance with Best Practices.

 

Duties

·  You will be responsible for the ‘hands-on’ daily operations of the site including:  setting up new customers and retaining customer records, tying out records related to: inventory, billing, receivables and payables, markdowns, petty cash and various financial reports.

 

Requires

·  2-3 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping

·  High detail orientation, mathematical aptitude and proficiency with e-mail and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)

·  Superior customer service skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude, and the ability to work flexible hours, as the season requires.

·  Excellent interpersonal, organizational, follow-up and problem solving skills

·  Human Resources experience and experience in the horticultural industry or a retail / wholesale environment is a strong plus
